I'm inputting a file into LaTeX (in verbatim mode) that contains a unicode smiley character, code 128512. 
I thought declaring 
\DeclareUnicodeCharacter{128512}{\smiley} 
would do the trick, but:

I have a log file generated in unix shell, with bunch of shell/terminal color escape sequences. E.g. echo -e '\e[1;34mBLUE TEXT\e[0m' outputs "BLUE TEXT" in blue, and so on. How can insert this log  ...
